Rotor Film is Denmark’s leading supplier of close range aerial cinematography to Danish films and advertising. Due to our many years of experience in film, we are able to provide consistent quality on any type of assignment, from the biggest feature film project to the smallest specialist assignment. Rotor Film is owned and run on a daily basis by Tao Ahler, who qualified as an advertising photographer in Aarhus from 1996-2000 and from 2001 – 2014 worked on Danish films in Copenhagen as first assistant camera and focus puller.
Rotor Film was established in 2010 and delivered its first aerials in 2011 and have since then worked on a wide range of feature films, TV series, commercials and documentaries in Denmark and abroad.

Rotor Film flies 4 types of drones:

Freefly Alta 8 Pro heavy lift drone which is equipped with a Movi Pro gimbal and can fly professional film cameras like Alexa Mini and Alexe 35

DJI Inspire 3 quadcopter with DJI X9-8K Air camera with Full Frame 8K sensor with Dual Native iso (800+4000) that records in ProRes, ProRes RAW and CinemaDNG, D-Log with almost 15 stops of dynamic range. Up to 120fps i 4K and 75fps in 8K. The following lenses is currently part of the kit: 24mm, 35mm, 50mm. Despite its size the Inspire 3 delivers excellent quality footage that easily can be matched up with Alexa material.

DJI Mini 3 Pro the smallest drone that weighs in at 249g and can legally fly within city limits over people without the need of special permits and cordoning off streets.
